BA Degree in Hindi Language & Literature was started in 1981.MA Degree course was started in the year 1999. The Department was recognized as a Research Centre in the year 2005.

1.18 March 2023, Students of Hindi Department ,Nirmala College, Muvattupuzha along with faculty members visited Providence Home, in Vazhakulam ,Muvattupuzha.
2. Mangrove Planting Initiative in collaboration with Department of Hindi & NSS,NIrmala College at Ayyampilly, Vypin Island.
