Are you fascinated by the beauty and complexity of the natural world? Do you want to explore the wonders plant life and its vital role in sustaining our planet? “ Then Look no further Botany is for You”
Studying botany offers a gateway to a world of discovery, where you unravel the secrets of plant biology, ecology and its evolution. Our program provides hands on experienes in well equipped laboratories and trekking into the wilderness to study plant ecology to immerse yourself in the captivating realm of plants.
The department have faculty with expertise in diverse areas of plant science. The faculty have experience and expertise in plant molecular biology, Plant Biotechnology, Plant Cell Biology, Alagal Biology, Bioinformatics, Green Technology, White Biotechology
Student support services provide academic advisory, research mentorship, tutoring, and career counselling. The deparment is have a robust grievence redressal mechanism and strong alumni connect which help in as resource to assist in course selection, research project development, and skill enhancement.
The Department has well equipped laboratories to engage students in hands-on laboratory work in Molecular biology, explore plant anatomy, physiology, genetics, and ecology. Conduct experiments, microscopy, and plant identification exercises, developing practical skills crucial for understanding plant biology and real-world research applications.
Student internship services facilitate placements in botanical gardens, research institutes, agricultural companies, and environmental organizations. These internships offer hands-on experience in plant biology, conservation, and biotechnology, preparing students for careers in various botanical fields and enhancing their professional skills.
Embark on exciting botany field trips to explore diverse ecosystems and observe plant diversity firsthand. These immersive experiences provide invaluable opportunities for students to deepen their understanding of plant ecology, adaptations, and conservation in natural habitats.
Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) are agreements between botanical institutions, universities, or research organizations to collaborate on academic and research endeavors. These MoUs often outline terms for joint research projects, student exchanges, faculty collaborations, and resource sharing, fostering partnerships that advance botanical knowledge and its applications.
