LOGISTICS: PROVIDING LOGISTICS SOLUTIONS BEYOND EXPECTATIONS
The University Grants Commission (UGC) has launched a scheme on skills development based higher education as part of college/university education, leading to Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc.) Degree with multiple exits such as Diploma/Advanced Diploma under the NSQF (National skill Qualifications framework).
Department of B.Voc logistics management is successfully completing its successful journey of 6 years in Nirmala college, Muvattupuzha. The B. Voc Logistics Management is a three-year programme which was commenced in the academic year 2018 November, and it gained its momentum gradually.
Our department aims to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience necessary to excel in the dynamic field of logistics and supply chain management. Through rigorous academic programs, industry partnerships, and experiential learning opportunities, we strive to develop leaders who can effectively navigate the complexities of global supply chains and contribute to the advancement of the logistics profession.

Our department offers internship in all even semester for developing their professional learning experience that offers meaningful, practical work related to their concerned field of study and gives the opportunity for career exploration.
Curriculum is designed as per the directions of UGC which is a scheme on skill development based higher education as part of college/university education, leading to Bachelor of Vocation Degree with multiple exits such as Diploma/Advanced Diploma under the NSQF (National skill Qualifications framework).
Students who are not able to pursue three years of degree have the option to get Diploma and Advanced Diploma Certificate.
Academic advising, and career counselling, that help students to explore their interests in logistics and navigate their academic and career track successfully.
Teachers are approachable and available to support their students both academically and emotionally.
After the completion of every even semester the student will undergo a minimum of one month internship programme in an industry. At the end of the internship, the student should prepare a comprehensive report.
Those who have completed their one year and two-year degree can take the exam conducted by Logistics Sectoral Council and get the Diploma and Advanced Diploma Certificate respectively.
Industrial Visit is included to bridge the widening gap between theoretical learning and practical exposure by giving students first-hand exposure to identify the inputs and outputs of different business operations and processes performed at the workplace.
To improve student’s abilities, extend their knowledge and advance their career add on & certificate courses provided on Advanced Excel and Tally with GST
