April 23rd is a Red- Letter Day for all Literature lovers. On this day, we commemorate the sweetest of all singing birds of England – *William Shakespeare* and also observe it as the *World Book Day* .
World Book Day, is an annual event organized by the UNESCO to promote reading, publishing, and copyright. It is celebrated on 23rd April worldwide, as the date is also the anniversary of the birth and death of the legend William Shakespeare.
Shakespeare is not only a celebrated dramatist but also a heartwarming poet. His sonnets are poems of expressive ideas and thoughts that are layered with multiple meanings. On this World Book Day, let’s read the sonnets of Shakespeare and recite them to the world.
_A Tribute to the Bard of Avon_ is an Interdepartmental Online Shakespeare’s Sonnet Recitation Competition.
️Recite any one of Shakespeare’s 154 sonnets (14 lined poems) and record it as a video.
Open to Students of Nirmala College.
️Video Duration: Max 2 minutes.
🧐Face, gestures and voice should be clear in the video.
