• Addressed the European Parliament in Brussels on 05 October 2010, as the representative of India, in the conference on “Religious Freedom”
• Awarded the Fr. T.A. Mathias National Award for the innovative College teachers in the year 2001 by the All India Association for Christian Higher Education (AIACHE), New Delhi.

• The Indian Council of Social Science Research, New Delhi vide its letter No. F.No. RP02/0019/2007/RP dated 27-11-2007 has granted a Major Research Project entitled AFFIRMATIVE ACTION AND DALITS; A STUDY ON THE ELECTED REPRESESENTATIVES IN THE PANCHAYATS OF KERALA. The two year project has a total outlay of Rs.2,68,750.
• The University Grants Commission through its letter No. F.5-94/2005 (HRP) dated 31-03-2006 has granted a Major Research Project entitled PARADIGM SHIFT IN DECENTRALISED GOVERNANCE: THE STATE- SOCIETY SYNERGY IN RURAL KERALA WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO THE JALANIDHI PROJECT. The three year project has a total outlay of Rs. 5,15,600/-.

NAAC

• As Coordinator of the IQAC and NAAC steering committee at Newman College from July 2004 onwards, prepared the Self Study Report and coordinated the Peer Team's visit to the college in March 2007. The college is re-accredited at 'A' grade.
• As the Principal of Newman College, Thodupuzha, steered the college to the III cycle of Accreditation by the NAAC with ‘A’ Grade at a score of 3.32 out of 4 in 2016.
• Nominated to the Board of Studies (Pass) in Political Science of M. G. University in 2005.
